Who is FIMM?
FIMM, or Fabrication Industrielle de Matériel de Manutention, is a French company specializing in the design and manufacture of manual handling solutions. Since 1956, we have been developing innovative, robust products to meet the needs of professionals in a wide range of sectors.
What types of products do you offer?
Our range includes more than 2000 references, divided into several product families:
- Hand trucks: for transporting various loads such as cartons, bins, panels, buckets, drums, gas cylinders, etc.
- Workbenches and carts: ideal for storing and transporting tools or goods, workbenches are also extremely sturdy workstations.
- Drum equipment: specially designed for the safe handling of drums.
- Stackers: for lifting, moving and handling bins, cartons, reels, drums, pallets…
- Stepladders: for safe access at height.
- Rollers: for easy movement of heavy loads.
- Industrial trailers: suitable for moving heavy loads on site.
All our products are designed to guarantee ergonomics, safety and durability.
Where are your products made?
We are proud to design and manufacture 80% of our products in France, at our factory in Joigny, Burgundy. This mastery of our production process ensures consistent quality. Our subsidiary Manuvit, based in La Ferté Macé in Normandy, has been specializing in variable geometry handling solutions for 45 years, and brings the Group complementary expertise in other product families: stackers, lifting tables, drum handling, etc.

Do you offer customized solutions?
Absolutely. Our in-house design department works closely with our customers to design handling solutions tailored to their specific needs. Whether you need special dimensions, specific features or customization, we’re here to help you develop the equipment that’s right for you.
How can I buy your products?
Our products are distributed exclusively via a network of professional dealers throughout France and several European countries. To find your nearest retailer, please visit our website in the practical information section, or contact us directly.
Is it possible to customize a product to meet a specific need?
Exactly! At FIMM, we offer customized solutions. Our engineering department works with you to design equipment adapted to your constraints, whether these involve customization, particular dimensions, functionalities or specific conditions of use.
Do your products comply with safety standards?
Yes, all our products meet current safety and ergonomic standards. For example, our forklifts and carts are fitted with 2 lockable castors in compliance with EN 1757-3, our lifting equipment complies with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive, and our stackers are ISO 3691-5 certified and comply with CRAM R-367 recommendations.

What are your commitments in terms of environmental and social responsibility?
At FIMM, we are deeply committed to an eco-responsible and socially responsible approach. We have implemented a strict environmental and ethical charter, we are taking action to reduce our carbon footprint, we promote sustainable consumption and contribute to the well-being of our employees. In July 2025, we were awarded the Ecovadis Silver Medal, recognizing our efforts in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Livraison
How quickly can I receive my order?
Delivery times vary according to product availability and customization requested. For products in stock, you can expect shipment within 48 hours. Products made to order and custom orders require a longer lead time, which we will inform you of as soon as the project has been validated.
Do you deliver anywhere in France?
Yes, we deliver all over France, including French overseas departments and territories. We can also organize international shipments if required.
What are the delivery charges?
Delivery costs depend on the size of your order, your location and the carrier you choose. When you place your order, we will give you a precise amount for the associated costs. Above a certain amount, your order will be shipped carriage paid.
Can I track my order?
Yes, a tracking number will be sent to you as soon as your order is dispatched. So you can track your order in real time.
What should I do if my product arrives damaged?
If you notice any damage on delivery, report it immediately to the carrier and make a note of your reservations on the delivery note. Then contact our customer service department with photos and a description of the problem. We’ll take care of replacement or repair as quickly as possible.
Can I pick up an order directly from your factory?
Yes, you can collect your products directly from our factory in Joigny, Burgundy. Contact us in advance to arrange pick-up.
Can I return a product if I’m not satisfied?
We accept returns on standard products under certain conditions:
- Maximum overall value of the equipment: €960 excluding VAT.
- The product must be unused and in perfect condition, in its original packaging and with its documentation.
- Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt.
- The product MUST be marked with the return slip supplied at the time of validation by FIMM.
- Return shipping charges may apply.
- Return postage is at the buyer’s expense.
Personalized or custom-made products are not eligible for return, except in the case of defects.
